A Series Paper Sizes
A series paper is the most widely used international standard, based on ISO 216. A0 has an area of 1 square meter, and each size is obtained by folding the previous one in half along its longer side.

A Series Paper Sizes Common Uses
A series paper is the most widely used paper standard globally. A4 (210×297mm) is the standard for office printing; A3 is used for drawings and posters; A5 for notebooks and booklets.
The aspect ratio of A series paper is always 1:√2 (≈1:1.414). Folding an A4 sheet in half gives you two A5 sheets with the same proportions.
